Recognising our part in making the world a more sustainable place, Eldorado is dedicated to integrating sustainability into our business plan. We value and promote sustainability across our environmental, social and governance framework, with reporting mechanisms in place to track our progress.
Our Approach — a company priority
Eldorado gives sustainability equal priority and attention as our other business goals. As part of our continuous improvement approach, we review and update policies and procedures on a regular basis to make sure they remain current with best practices and technology. At a minimum we adhere to all regulatory requirements where we operate.
Environmental Impact

Climate Change and GHG Emissions
Eldorado is aiming to reduce GHG emissions from its operations through investment in energy efficiency and innovative solutions. Scope 1 emissions are primarily from MGO fuel used in well construction activities. Eldorado is establishing intensity metrics and calculating Scope 2 emissions. Alternative solutions include LED lighting and smart energy monitoring systems applied to reduce emissions.
Waste Management
Eldorado has implemented a comprehensive waste management plan, including initiatives like garbage compactors, fluorescent bulb crushers and minimising plastic packaging. Our waste targets focus on:
- Reducing total waste generated
- Increasing waste recycling
- Reducing single-use plastics
Water and Effluents
Eldorado rigs produce potable water through saltwater desalination using reverse osmosis to minimise regional freshwater usage. Our marine environment protection strategy prioritises water discharge control using approved ballast water treatment systems in line with the BWM Convention. We have strict policies against taking or discharging seawater from water-stressed or environmentally sensitive areas.
Biodiversity and prevention of marine pollution
We control the impact of our offshore operations on marine ecosystems, including noise, water pollution and invasive species spread. We train our people in best practices, maintain rig infrastructures and have strict control standards.
Social Impact

Diversity
Eldorado values diversity — nationality, culture, ethnicity, gender, age — and encourages a diverse workforce. This fosters an organization with shared values that is inclusive and welcomes differences and ideas. Our workforce comes from Europe, the UK, US, the Americas, Australasia, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, and we continually generate local employment and expenditure in the countries where we operate.
Safety Management
Eldorado prioritises personal safety, establishing internal controls and risk management procedures in an industry exposed to hazards. We established the Eldorado Leadership program focused on a mature safety culture and a world-class HSE management system. It involves: no incidents, no non-productive time, and a fully satisfied client.
Health and Wellbeing
The Company prioritises employee health and wellbeing by ensuring adequate protection against the elements and workplace hazards. Employees undergo regular medical examinations complying with international best practice. Operations are supported by local medical facilities and emergency assistance providers, and offshore installations have a dedicated clinic.
Human Rights

The Company upholds fundamental human rights in our daily operations and corporate strategy. Our core principles:
- We support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights
- We are not complicit in the abuse of human rights
- We do not tolerate any form of forced or compulsory labour
- We do not employ child labour and support its effective abolition
- We support the elimination of employment discrimination
- We work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery
- We ensure our contractors, at a minimum, comply with Eldorado’s strict standards
Governance

Our commitment to sustainability and responsible offshore drilling practices is centered on effective governance — ethical decision-making, stakeholder engagement and strategic planning — aiming to minimise environmental impact, ensure workforce safety, and foster positive community relationships.
We have implemented a comprehensive compliance and ethics program based on three key principles:
- Regular training: all our employees receive annual training on anti-bribery and anti-corruption policies and procedures, with specialised sessions in countries where we operate.
- Due diligence: Eldorado uses third-party software for vendor vetting, categorising vendors as high, medium or low risk, with additional due diligence for medium-to-high-risk vendors.
- Contract protection and auditing: our contracts include anti-corruption principles, requiring counterparties to adhere to these principles and applicable laws, with Eldorado holding audit and termination rights.
Anti-Corruption
Eldorado follows a strict code of business conduct, including an anti-corruption policy, adhering to regulations such as the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the UK Bribery Act, through communication, training and regular audits. Our whistleblower line is communicated throughout our operations and is managed independently to maintain confidentiality and impartiality.
